HOW TO HARNESS YOUR MIND


I want to talk about harnessing your mind to help you create what you want in your life. We know that everything in the universe is energy. Everything from the physical world to our thoughts is energy. And our inner mental reality and the world’s outer reality are tied together. We are participants in an open and dynamic living universe. If you view your thoughts, memories and mental pictures as energy sources that exchange energy back and forth with the external physical world, then you’re right in line with quantum physics and neuro science. Think about the impact of your mental energy on the physical world.

Let’s look at how we create our own reality. Each image of the outside world forms and changes your brain. From these images your mind then constructs what we call reality. For example, our eyes don’t really see anything but collect packets of lights that are being reflected off an object. These packets of light are transmitted into your brain as electronics signals. And according to these past experiences, your brain then interprets these signals and tells you what you’re seeing. According to science the real world is made of vibrating energy. We now know that each person creates his/her own version of the world based on their beliefs, expectations and their past history. Apply that to your life. What is your past experience with anything? You’re recreating that experience. What are your expectations? You’re creating that experience. What are your beliefs about life? You’re creating that experience.

So how does these all tie into creating prosperity? Your interpretations of prosperity is closely effected by what you imagine, what you visualize and by what you desire, or by what you fear and reject. What is prosperity? Viewed in terms of neuro science, prosperity is a mental concept housed in our physical brain. The concept of prosperity leaves in the conscious brain. But what does prosperity mean to you personally? When you think about that you begin to be conscious of your beliefs. And this happens deep in the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind controls up to 95% of your reality. If you’re happy or not happy with your life, you can be sure it’s your subconscious mind that’s creating this situation for you. And the problem is every time you visit those subconscious limiting thoughts, the neuro tracks strengthen. I recommend you to watch the movie “What the bleep is going on”. As that movie shows this is hard observable science.

There’s only one way to overcome the subconscious mind that keeps you from creating your ideal lifestyle. You’re going to have to reprogram your neurons, your brain cells on the physical level. Is there an easy way to do this? No. Not to my knowledge. But it is achievable. We know that the brain is not the unchanging organ that science once thought it was. The brain actually changes with each thoughts, memories and experiences. If you think about something frequently or intense emotion, the neurons associated with that thought grow and strengthen. If you cease to think about something, the associated neuro pathway will eventually break down.  Neuroscientists have found evidence that emotion strengthens the neuro pathway associated with any memory or thought. Emotion can be a powerful ally in reprogramming your mind. So we need to harness the power of focused thought.

Let’s look it this way: It all starts with a decision which takes less than a second. Then you take a dramatic step like one of those life changing things. You get real with yourself and ask questions like what is prosperity to me? Is it a financial state? Or does it have less to do with money and more to do with free time? Ask yourself what are you willing to do and not do to create a prosperous lifestyle? Why aren’t you prosperous already?

Remember you also need to make a commitment to do whatever it takes. The more intense your emotional commitment to get what you want the faster you’ll get it. That’s why it’s so important to go after what you feel passionate about. Harness the power of focused thought to reprogram the neurons. What can you do to reprogram those neurons? You can try this exercise: Every morning get a 3×5 card and write a brief statement of your most important dream. Then on the other side of that card, list one specific thing you’ll do today to closer to your dream. This has to be specific and achievable today. Put the card in your pocket and do that specific thing by the end of the day. And by the end of the month you’ll be amazed how much you’ve accomplished in your life. Apply that lesson and see what happens.
